Senior Software Engineer X 2 Permanent
Global Team Network Limited is seeking Senior Software Engineers for their Reading office. Due to expansion GTN Ltd are in the process of recruiting talented Software Engineers/Developers. GTN Ltd is an exciting market leading Web content management system (CMS) provider besides active in the IT solutions and consultancy.The successful candidates will be expected to develop the detailed requirements and come up with a design through a combination of close communication with the product owner and team, adding your own creative input ideas 
To be considered for this role you must have one year commercial experience using Java with skills in J2EE, JSP, App Severs and be comfortable with Eclipse.
Any knowledge of the following would be beneficial: Spring, XML, JavaScript, Ajax CSS, XHTML
This person should have excellent technical skills with strong hands-on experience designing and implementing high quality for today's organizations that are deploying using Service Oriented Architectures.
Contribute to full project life cycle, from requirements to release.
Operate effectively in a geographically distributed development team.
Balance creativity with process to deliver quality software productively.
The type of work you will be involved in will be testing, coding, software maintenance and assisting in implementing the processes required to deploy applications.
 Qualifications:
Bachelor-level Degree with at least two years relevant experience.
Knowledge and experience of the software development process and life cycles.- Commercial development experience using: Apache modules, Perl CGI, HTML, XML, Unix, PHP, MYSQL based database systems. Also experience in UML, and XP.
Ability to work in a fast changing technical environment with evolving standards.
Pride in high quality work, Good Communication skills, Excellent troubleshooting and debugging skills.

Bioinformatics Software Analysts (4 Positions)
Global Team Network is a UK based Software Development and Business Process Outsourcing (BPO) solutions provider. Due to a new upcoming project, an immediate need has arisen to recruit seek Bioinformatics Software Analysts based in Reading. Primary responsibilities include creating databases to store large bioinformatics data and developing tools to access these datasets; testing software extensively and providing quality assurance. Additional duties may include web-interface design and implementation, development of graphical display tools; design and implementation of computational tools for bioinformatics research. Suitable candidate will be responsible for developing new tools for analyzing and annotating gene expression related data.
Requirements:
Degree with 1+ year of bioinformatic programming and analysis experience, Experience with sequence and microarray databases, and analysis programs. Experience with UNIX and SQL with ability to program in Perl; statistical programming languages a plus. Outstanding communication skills and ability to work in a multidisciplinary dynamic and fast moving environment.
Salary:

DUTIES: 

  • To support system servers and provide a rapid response to user IT issues and requests.

  •  Support and development of data access and office systems

  •  Liaison with vendors and external support as required

  •  Deployment of new hardware and software. 

  •  Management of IT related in house projects 

SKILLS / EXPERIENCE: 

  • An understanding of or qualifications in: Network topology, NT/2000 servers, Routers, HTML, ASP and Excel is required 

  • Be of graduate caliber in a related discipline.

  •  Microsoft certification would be an advantage.

  • Minimum of one years experience of hands-on support in Windows networked operating systems, both at server and desktop level

  • A good knowledge of MS Office (2003) applications

  • Knowledge of routers is desirable.

  • Be self motivated and able to communicate at all levels. Detailed knowledge of TCP/IP networking. 

  • Familiarity with Linux or Unix systems. 

  •  High level of initiative and dedication. 

  •  Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
